Rudolf Mayrhofer was born in 1958 and studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Prof. Günter Pichler.
He has been a member of numerous ensembles and has played with the Vienna Johann Strauss Orchestra, the Strauss Festival Orchestra the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, the Arco Quartett, the Weana Gmüat Schrammeln, at the Vienna Volksoper and the Vienna State Opera.
He has been a member of the ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra since 1986.
